Assisted Living Communities

  • – Assisted Living Communities may be large or small and are often paid on a month-to-month basis.
  • – Private rooms, shared rooms, or suites are available.
  • – Services include 24-hour staff, three meals per day, housekeeping, laundry services, and assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, mobility, medication management, and memory support.
  • – Many communities offer transportation to stores, doctor appointments, senior centers, etc.
  • – Most Assisted Living Communities are “private pay.”

Memory Care

Memory Care/Secure Dementia Units are available at select locations.

  • – Private rooms, shared rooms, or suites are available.
  • – Services include 24-hour staff, three meals per day, housekeeping, laundry services, and assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, mobility, and medication management.

Respite Care

Respite Care is a short-term stay at an assisted living or memory care community, and can facilitate a path to recovery and returning home, or a trial and/or transition to full-time assisted living.

  • – Services include housekeeping, laundry services, three meals per day and all the personal services provided by assisted living and memory care facilities.
  • – Physical, occupational, or speech therapy may be provided on-site by outside agencies.

Home Care

Home Care services help with meals, housekeeping, bathing, dressing, etc. in the senior’s home.

  • – A minimum number of hours are required per week, and these services are “private pay.”

Independent Living Communities

Independent Living Communities may feature independent apartments with full kitchens in addition to various meal plans in a common dining room.

  • – Communities have activity and social event calendars and may offer local bus transportation.
  • – Care staff is not included and Home Care, if needed, would have to be contracted separately.

Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs)

Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) feature all levels of senior housing and care on one campus: Independent Living, Assisted Living, Nursing Care and Rehab, and Memory Care.

  • – There is usually a large buy-in or entrance fee plus a monthly rate or lease.
